Position Summary
Greenwood School District 50 seeks a highly organized and confidential Administrative Assistant to provide direct support to the Executive Director for Human Resources. This role ensures the efficient operation of the HR office by managing critical administrative, recruitment, and compliance duties.
Work Schedule
• 240 Days / 7.5 hours per day
• Row J on the Admin 240 Non Certified Payscale
Key Responsibilities (The HR Essentials)
• Recruitment & Onboarding: Process classified, teaching, and substitute applications; manage new employee packets; verify certification and contract status; and coordinate recruiting events.
• Confidential Record Management: Maintain secure and confidential employee personnel and medical files for 1000+ employees. Ensure contracts, certifications, and required compliance data are up-to-date.
• Administrative & Compliance Support: Prepare monthly reports for the Board of Trustees; process new hire reporting; and assist with payroll status, salary schedules, and unemployment claims.
Minimum Qualifications
• High School Diploma/GED and 8 years of relevant experience; OR
• Associate's Degree in secretarial science and 4 years of experience.
• Required: Exceptional ability to maintain absolute confidentiality and proficiency in computer and office software.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
• Strong organizational, scheduling, and time management skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
• Proficiency with database management and standard office equipment.
• Knowledge of state and federal laws relating to personnel and public education is strongly preferred.
