Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Holiday Inn Express hotel. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a commitment to exceptional guest relations, and a proven track record in managing budgets and staff. This role requires a proactive approach to ensuring guest satisfaction while maintaining operational efficiency. The General Manager will be responsible for fostering a positive work environment and leading the team to achieve high standards of service. Duties Oversee all aspects of resort operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Develop and implement strategies to enhance guest experiences and satisfaction. Manage budgeting processes, including forecasting and financial reporting. Supervise staff across various departments, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance. Maintain effective communication with guests, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Conduct regular training sessions for staff on customer service excellence and phone etiquette. Perform night audits as necessary, ensuring accurate financial reporting at the end of each day. Foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration among staff members. Empower hotel staff to excel in superior guest service to drive financial success through strong leadership and creative operational strategies Lead sales and marketing efforts by developing a targeted strategy for publicizing the hotel's services and amenities Guide the leaders of each hotel department in developing goals, objectives, and a plan of action for achieving them Devise the cleanliness and upkeep of the hotel's rooms, public areas, and grounds in order to cultivate a reputation for quality Qualifications: This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent GED; degree in hospitality or related field of study preferred Demonstrated background in hotel or hospitality management — typically 3–5+ years in a leadership role at a branded hotel. Experience with IHG standards or similar upper-midscale/upscale brands (e.g., Hilton, Marriott). Understanding brand standards, guest satisfaction metrics, and loyalty program for upper-midscale/upscale brands (e.g., Hilton, Marriott). Demonstrate excellent organizational skills, communication skills, and problem-solving skills Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise a diverse team. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations. Proficient in budgeting and financial management. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable for effective communication with guests from diverse backgrounds. Exceptional phone etiquette and communication skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
