Veterinary Hospital Manager
Laurel Road Veterinary Clinic in Nokomis, FL is seeking a Veterinary Hospital Manager who brings together operational excellence with a passion for mentorship and a commitment to positive team culture. As our Hospital Manager, you'll partner closely with our Medical Director to guide a thriving, 3-doctor small animal practice toward continued success. You'll take ownership of daily operations, financial performance, and team development, ensuring our hospital runs smoothly and sustainably while delivering an exceptional client and patient experience.
Key Responsibilities Include
• Financial Leadership: Oversee hospital budgets, payroll, and performance metrics to drive sustainable growth and financial health.
• Operational Oversight: Ensure efficient workflow, manage inventory and equipment, maintain OSHA/DEA/VMB compliance, and uphold hospital policies.
• Strategic Direction: Partner with leadership to develop and execute long-term goals and lead the team through change with clarity and confidence.
• Project & Facility Management: Oversee daily scheduling, maintenance, and administrative functions, aligning operations with hospital objectives.
• Client & Community Engagement: Support marketing initiatives, resolve client concerns, and enhance client experience to foster loyalty and growth.
• Team Leadership: Manage and support department leads, oversee hiring and development, maintain staffing levels, and promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
Schedule, benefits and compensation**:
This is a full-time, salaried position requiring on-site presence five days per week. Some Saturday availability may occasionally be needed in the future based on hospital needs.
• Compensation: Starting at $65,000+ annually (commensurate with experience)*

Your Qualifications
• Minimum 3+ years of veterinary hospital management experience
• CVPM certification or equivalent education preferred
• Proven ability to manage budgets, lead teams, and drive operational excellence
• Exceptional communication skills and a servant-leadership mindset
• Skilled in team training, coaching, and performance development
• Tech-savvy with strong adaptability to new systems
• Emotionally intelligent, self-motivated, and proactive in problem-solving
Laurel Road Veterinary Clinic is a beautifully remodeled, 3-doctor (and growing) small animal practice located in Nokomis, Florida. Our stunning 4,500-square-foot facility-newly remodeled in 2023-features seven spacious exam rooms and was designed to support exceptional patient care and an outstanding client experience. We offer comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental services, performing nearly all procedures in-house aside from orthopedic surgeries.
