Description:
The role involves providing nursing care to patients in a progressive care unit setting.
You will be responsible for monitoring and managing patients with critical care needs.
The patient population may include adults and geriatric patients.
You will utilize skills in cardiac telemetry, CVA management, and external CPAP/BIPAP.
You will manage cardiac drips and titrate vasoactive and insulin drips as necessary.
Demonstrated ability to interpret dysrhythmias is essential.
The role requires collaboration with interdisciplinary support teams including physical therapy and respiratory services.
Weekend coverage is required, with a patient ratio of 1:4-5.
Expectations include adherence to protocols and participation in holiday coverage as necessary.
Candidates should be prepared to float within the facility or to nearby facilities.
