We are partnered with a local manufacturing company in Sarasota. They are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager with strong national and international procurement experience.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, flexible schedule (minimum of 8 hours/day)
Compensation: Up to $100,000 annually, depending on experience
Position Summary:
We are hiring for a Supply Chain Manager responsible for overseeing purchasing operations, managing buyers/material specialists, and leading strategic sourcing initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with domestic and international suppliers, MRP/ERP systems, materials planning, bills of material, and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
•
Manage all purchasing activities including negotiation of pricing, quality, and delivery with domestic and international suppliers.
•
Lead procurement efforts for the Asian supply chain and maintain strong vendor relationships.
•
Expedite materials when necessary and resolve supply shortages.
•
Track and evaluate vendor performance based on quality, delivery, and overall value.
•
Identify and execute cost-reduction and value-enhancement opportunities.
•
Partner closely with Leadership, Accounting, Scheduling, Materials, and Quality teams.
•
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and internal quality standards.
•
Work with Quality Control to verify the quality of supplier-manufactured products.
•
Report any safety or quality concerns promptly.
•
Champion continuous improvement initiatives across purchasing and supply chain processes.
Qualifications:
•
Minimum of 8 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment (required).
•
Direct experience working with international suppliers.
•
At least 4 years of purchasing management or related leadership experience.
•
Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems; experience with system implementation preferred.
•
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general Office applications.
•
Bachelor’s degree in a related business field.
•
Understanding of MRP, bill of materials structures, and inventory management best practices.
