A respected and growing CPA firm in North Sarasota is seeking a Tax Manager with deep experience in business and high-net-worth individual returns. This is a unique opportunity for a confident, motivated professional who thrives in client-facing roles and is ready to take the next step toward firm ownership.
What You'll Do • Review complex tax returns for businesses and high-net-worth individuals
• Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to a diverse client base
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to identify planning opportunities
• Perform some hands-on preparation work as needed
• Engage directly with clients and community professionals
• Contribute to firm growth and leadership initiatives
What We're Looking For • Minimum 7 years of public accounting experience
• Strong background in business and high-net-worth individual tax preparation
• Prior experience as a Tax Manager in a CPA firm
• Excellent communication skills and professional presence
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Substantial tax experience and leadership potential
• Must be local or willing to relocate to Sarasota - remote work is not an option due to the community-facing nature of the role
Compensation & Ownership Track • Salary range: $100,000 - $150,000 , based on experience and ownership readiness • Candidates more than 5 years from ownership may start closer to $100K
• Highly skilled, motivated candidates ready for leadership may earn up to $150K
• Clear path to shareholder status for the right candidate, potentially within a short period
