Position Summary
The Department of Romance Languages at the University of Georgia ( https://www.rom.uga.edu ) invites applications for the position of Clinical Assistant Professor (non-tenure-track) of Spanish to begin August 1, 2026. This is a 12-month, full-time clinical faculty position, renewable and eligible for promotion, with an annual salary of $85,000. Teaching load 3/3 with summer duties that may include an additional course. We are seeking an innovative colleague to develop and coordinate a three-course language sequence for pre-health students, including summer experiential learning opportunities in Georgia and abroad. You will also be encouraged to teach or develop courses in your area of specialization or expertise. The successful candidate will collaborate with colleagues across the department and university to strengthen internship, service-learning, and health-related offerings that integrate humanities, and contribute to initiatives that advance career-oriented education and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Additional Requirements
Two years of teaching experience is required.

We particularly welcome candidates who will bring applied knowledge of task- and proficiency-based approaches to design community-engaged learning opportunities that advance student success and increase internship participation. Competitive applicants will have a demonstrated background in program development. An interest in developing and supporting similar offerings for students of an additional romance language is a plus.
