Schedule This position offers a 40 hour work week from August to May every year. Hours and schedule may vary and include evenings and weekends. This position is still benefits-eligible, even though it's nine months long per year. Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food service industry and possess strong skills in customer service, cash handling, and food safety. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent service to our customers while efficiently managing transactions and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. You will receives cash or meal ticket receipts in payment of bills, purchases, admission to events or other services. You will also verify the negotiability of bills received as well as balance cash on hand against receipts. Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with menu selections. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring accuracy in cash handling and register operations. Inform customers of dietary accommodations, food locations, and how to read the menu tags. Maintain cleanliness of the cashier area and dining space as needed. Assist with bussing tables and restocking supplies to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service delivery in a fast-paced environment. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Previous experience in a cashier role within a quick service or fast food restaurant is preferred. Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy setting. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and positive attitude. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations. Knowledge of food handling practices, food safety regulations, and sanitation standards is essential. Culinary experience or kitchen experience is advantageous but not mandatory. Ability to work evening hours and weekends.
