AC Installation Manager Location Sarasota, FL (This role is primarily field-based. Expect up to 2-3 days per week in the office, with a maximum of one week per month.) About the Role - Permanent Position We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated AC Installation Manager to lead our installation department. This critical role is responsible for the planning, execution, and quality of all assigned AC installation projects. You will be the driving force ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of customer satisfaction and safety. What You'll Be Doing: Core Responsibilities This role is a combination of strategic planning, team leadership, and hands-on operational management. Project & Operations Management End-to-End Project Oversight: Direct all aspects of installation projects, from initial planning to final completion, ensuring profitability and maximum customer satisfaction. Resource and Material Logistics: Oversee all aspects of inventory control, dispatching, warehousing, and truck maintenance. Accurately manage material ordering, vendor coordination, and tracking of returns/re-use to maximize efficiency. Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all projects adhere to local regulations. Manage the permitting process and conduct regular job site audits and quality checks. Budgeting & Financial Reporting: Maintain accurate project financials, including creating and managing departmental payroll processes (GPS, time sheets, supplemental pay, etc.), and assisting with job cost analysis. Team Leadership & Development Workforce Scheduling: Strategically schedule projects and manage a consistent workforce to meet business demands and maintain project timelines. Training & Mentorship: Provide technical support, coaching, and training to all field team members. Conduct disciplinary reviews as necessary. Safety & Accountability: Prioritize safety as a top concern. Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular team meetings focused on quality and safety. Customer Service & Communication Customer Relations: Act as the primary point of escalation for customer concerns, updating and amending schedules as necessary to maintain a strong customer focus. Reporting: Review and report back on installation callbacks and connect with the Sales Director and Install Director regarding job costing on each installation. What You'll Need: Required Experience & Skills Experience: A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in HVAC installation or a combination of related field experience. HVAC Background: 5+ years of successful experience as an Installation Technician in the HVAC industry is highly preferred. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Certifications: EPA and NATE certification are strongly preferred. Leadership & Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to provide both technical training and disciplinary leadership. Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with MS Office products and advanced phone applications for scheduling and communication. Drive & Integrity: A strong initiative to drive growth, a high degree of integrity, and a focus on detail in a fast-paced environment.
