Immediate response to items that present safety hazards to associates, vendors, or customers while on company property. Hands-on involvement of the installation or modification of equipment to support production needs and identification of operational methods which offer increased mechanical efficiency. Maintaining spare parts inventory to reduce costs and production downtime. Works with plant management and vendors to identify equipment needs and availability to ensure production continuity. Manages CMIS system. Facility upkeep and improvements. Role Qualifications: Must support Maintenance efforts by being the “expert” in troubleshooting issues pertaining to Plant equipment or physical structures. Assist and coordinate plan projects with other Plant departments, serving as the contact to outside contractors and notify Plant Management of delays or capital expenditures exceeding planned budget. Must anticipate Maintenance related issues and develop solutions prior to equipment failures by maintaining a comprehensive Preventative Maintenance Program Position Responsibilities: Follow Maintenance Schedules in the installation, repair, and proper maintenance of all equipment to ensure efficient operations and safe working conditions. Conducts daily inspections throughout the Plant to check production and operation of all primary equipment. Conducts periodic inspections of non-production equipment including HVAC, battery-powered equipment, and building structures to ensure proper and safe working conditions. Maintains effective spare parts and preventative maintenance inventory. Follow schedules needed for continuing education curriculum and provides on-the-job training as required. Responds to maintenance issues requiring assistance when contacted by off-shift Maintenance and Operators. Serves as a member of the Safety Committee and provides follow-up and resolution to identified issues in support of associate, vendor and customer safety on plant property. Required Skill Set: 3-5 year of experience in mechanical support of a manufacturing facility including experience in HVAC, electrical maintenance and PLC maintenance and programming. Ability to troubleshoot problems and develop resolutions, which allow the Plant production processes to continue with minimal interruption. Understanding and adherence to company Safety programs and guidelines. Excellent interpersonal communications and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of Best Practices in maintaining a processing plant and internal equipment. Significant experience in a deadline driven environment. Ability to anticipate issues and communicate with plant management prior to production failures. Problem analysis and problem resolution at a functional level and on a cross-functional basis. Strong commitment to company values. Education Requirements: Completion of applicable High School, Vocational or Technical School programs. Continuing education and training in Maintenance related topics.
