Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Owner Operator Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely across various routes. As an Owner Operator, you will utilize your own vehicle and manage your operations while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. This position requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to handle freight of different types. Responsibilities Operate a tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles to transport freight to designated locations. Load and unload cargo using forklifts or manual methods, ensuring proper handling of all materials. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and maintenance records. Plan routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to traffic regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery status and any potential delays. Handle paperwork related to freight, including bills of lading and delivery receipts. Experience Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License). Familiarity with operating various types of trailers including flatbed, tanker, and refrigerated trailers. Experience with route driving and understanding of freight logistics. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is preferred. Knowledge of load unloading procedures and safety protocols in transportation. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
