Summary We are seeking a Relief Pharmacist to work PRN (as needed) in the compounding pharmacy on-site at the UGA Vet Teaching Hospital in Athens, GA. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safe and effective compounding of medications for our diverse animal patients, contributing to our mission of providing exceptional veterinary care. Responsibilities Compound medications as required for specific cases. Educate veterinary staff and students on pharmacology and medication administration. Maintain accurate inventory management of pharmaceuticals. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and aseptic techniques. Sign off on prescriptions filled within the Pharmacy. Qualifications Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution. Current State of GA license Proficient in compounding medications and medication administration techniques. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with the veterinary team. Knowledge of pharmacy software systems and EMR/EHR systems is preferred.
