Job Description Adjunct Job Announcement
Position: Surgical Technology Adjunct Instructor
Location: Athens Campus
Department: Division of Life Sciences & Public Safety
Reports to: Program Chair for Surgical Technology and Divisional Academic Dean
Salary/Benefits: Salary is commensurate with education and experience. No State of Georgia benefits.
Deadline to Apply: November 5, 2025 at 4:00 p.m.
Responsibilities:
• Prepares lesson plans for classroom instruction for specified courses.
• Evaluates students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives.
• Prepares and maintains all required documentation for administrative report.
• Displays a high level of efforts and commitment to performing work.
• Operates effectively within the organizational structure.
• Assist with recruitment and retention.
• Manage all aspects of the classroom and laboratory.
• Daily operations, maintain safety equipment and inventory.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills & Requirements Minimum Qualifications:
• Associate’s degree.
• Two (2) years of related work experience.
• Must be a National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) Certified.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience teaching at a postsecondary level.
