GENERAL AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN As a General Automotive Technician, you will be called upon to service a broad range of vehicle repair issues and quickly identify the cause of performance problems. You must be able to demonstrate a knowledge of Diagnosing EVAP Problems, repairing Shocks, Struts, Brakes, Battery, Electrical Concerns, and Air Conditioning. Job Responsibilities Inspect, diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. Explain discovered mechanical diagnoses and required repairs to service advisors and if necessary to customers. Continuously seek out and learn new technical information, equipment, tools, and techniques Professionally record findings on approved documents so that necessary customer estimates and proper repairs can be made. Job Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience working in the industry as an automotive technician Hold a valid driver’s license, & State Inspection/ Emissions License Appropriate hand tools necessary for services performed Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) and A/C Refrigerant handling certifications are a plus, but not required unless performing A/C or other license-required services Safe working knowledge of shop tools and equipment such as Scanners, electrical diagnostic equipment, AC recovery equipment, Fluid Exchange Equipment, Lift operations, etc. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $34,320.00 - $98,750.00 per year Benefits: Employee discount Work Location: In person
