Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Fiber Technician. The Fiber Technician will be responsible for installing, splicing, and troubleshooting fiber optic cables. Daily tasks include performing routine splicing, advanced troubleshooting and repairs, and both aerial and underground installations. The role also involves ensuring meticulous attention to detail and completing documentation for each project. Travel will be required at times.
Qualifications
• Experience with fiber optic cables and cabling
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairs
• Knowledge of optics and fiber technologies
• Aptitude for both aerial and underground installations
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and demanding conditions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Relevant certifications in fiber optics or related field are a plus
• Valid driver's license and ability to work on-site in Wilson, NC
• Up to 75% Travel required
