We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee the successful execution of commercial, multi-use, and high-end residential construction projects. This role requires a strong leader with an entrepreneurial spirit, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The Superintendent will provide on-site supervision, coordination, and management of construction activities to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee daily construction site operations and ensure adherence to project schedules.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractor activities to maintain productivity and quality.
• Develop and implement site-specific safety plans in compliance with OSHA standards.
• Monitor project budgets and assist with cost control efforts.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure work aligns with drawings, specifications, and quality expectations.
• Maintain accurate daily logs, progress reports, and project documentation.
• Identify, communicate, and resolve project issues and conflicts promptly.
• Work closely with project managers to update schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
• Provide technical guidance and construction solutions to support project execution.
• Ensure proper storage, protection, and usage of materials, equipment, and tools.
• Collaborate with inspectors, engineers, and local officials to secure necessary permits and approvals.
• Lead on-site meetings with subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.
• Enforce compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
• Train and mentor field personnel to support professional growth and project performance.
• Promote a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times.
• Proactively identify risks, delays, and potential issues and implement corrective actions.
• Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to support successful project delivery.
• Support change order management by documenting and communicating field adjustments.
• Drive accountability across the site team to meet deadlines and quality standards.
Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in multi-use or commercial construction along with residential projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred (experience may substitute).
• OSHA 30-Hour Certification (required).
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, codes, and safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Experience with scheduling, cost estimating, budgeting, and contract management.
• Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to build relationships and adapt communication style.
