This is a paid position, where you’ll get to work with staff and leaders from all levels as you have impact right away. Additionally, all interns are considered for future employment opportunities upon successful completion of their internship.
What you'll be doing:
• Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Assist in financial statement preparation, auditing, general accounting, and special projects.
• Work on projects where you can apply your academic knowledge, manage priorities and deadlines, participate in client meetings, and develop new skills.
• Learn new technology tools to interpret data efficiently and accurately.
• Build long-lasting relationships with your intern peers, as well as other relationships that will help position you for the next stage of your career.
What you’ll need for this position:
• Education: Applicants must be enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Accounting (or related field) or enrolled in an Accounting certificate program.
• Tax: Must have completed a tax class prior to the start of the internship.
• GPA: Must be 3.0 or higher in major and overall.
• Hours: Availability to work 24 (part-time) or 40 hours (full-time) per week.
• Location: Availability to relocate to the internship location.
• Employment Eligibility: This role is not eligible for sponsorship.

Compensation: In some states and municipalities, Pinion is required by law to include a reasonable estimate for range of compensation. When making compensation decisions, Pinion takes into account a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, certifications/licenses, and geographic location. The wide range for this role reasonably accounts for these factors. Specific compensation decisions are made based on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $25 to $27 per hour. ( In the event that an employee is paid on an hourly basis, salary estimates are based on estimated annual hours and earning potential, in accordance with state wage and hour regulations.)
