Position Summary
The Louise McBee Institute of Higher Education at the University of Georgia invites applications for an early or mid-career professor position (tenure-track at assistant or associate rank) to begin August 1, 2025.
The successful candidate will be expected to support student research interests on critical issues in higher education, teach core graduate-level courses, advise and mentor doctoral students in their studies and research, engage in national and international partnerships that enhance the opportunities of students, pursue an active program of funded research; actively and effectively pursue and achieve publication in appropriate scholarly venues; and participate fully in the ongoing academic and governance activities of the McBee Institute.
Additional Requirements
Candidates should have a doctoral degree in higher education or an equivalent terminal degree in a complementary field (e.g., economics, law, management, political science, public policy, sociology) and a record of scholarship and research productivity commensurate with the rank of assistant or associate professor at the University of Georgia. Candidates also should have expertise in qualitative, quantitative, and/or mixed-methods research as evidenced by their cumulative research portfolio.
