JOB SUMMARY
Fawley Bryant Architecture, a full-service architecture firm with offices in Sarasota and Bradenton, Florida, is seeking an Architectural Project Manager to lead multiple small to mid-sized projects from concept through completion. In this role, you will manage project schedules, budgets, and client relationships while guiding and mentoring technical and design staff.
You’ll play a key role in both project management and production-coordinating with consultants, overseeing design and documentation, and stepping into hands-on work weekly. This position requires a balance of leadership, technical expertise, and collaboration, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Lead and manage multiple small to mid-sized projects from early design through construction administration
• Participate in design and drawing production as needed, and support Senior Project Managers on larger projects
• Prepare strategic plans for project success, including scope, schedule, and budget management
• Serve as the primary client liaison, ensuring schedules, budgets, and project scope are delivered to client satisfaction
• Oversee, and when necessary produce, high-quality construction documents and specifications
• Coordinate with engineering consultants and internal staff to ensure efficiency and accuracy
• Manage project communication, documentation, proposals, contracts, and fee estimates
• Perform construction administration duties, including site visits and project meetings
• Mentor and support junior staff to foster professional growth and elevate team performance
• Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, fire protection, and other jurisdictional requirements
SKILLS REQUIRED
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit; strong knowledge of construction documents and detailing
• Experience managing projects from concept design through construction administration
• Ability to lead client relationships and communicate effectively in meetings and presentations
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multiple priorities
• Collaborative team player with mentoring and coordination experience
• Proactive problem-solver with sound decision-making skills
• Licensure preferred, but not required
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program (or equivalent professional experience)
• 8+ years of progressive architectural experience with demonstrated ability to manage projects from concept through construction
• Proven track record of successfully leading small to mid-sized projects, including budgets, schedules, and consultant coordination
• Experience mentoring and guiding junior team members in both design and technical production
• Familiarity with building codes, zoning regulations, and permitting processes
• Architectural licensure preferred, but not required
