Position: High School Coordinator
Location: Athens, Georgia
Department: Office for Secondary Initiatives
Reports to: Executive Director for Secondary Initiatives
Salary/Benefits: Salary is commensurate with education and experience. State of Georgia benefits package.

Responsibilities:
• Coordinate the development and implementation of dual enrollment programs to maintain and increase enrollment at local career academies and high schools.
• Serve as primary point of contact for and collaborate with career academy and high school staff to promote a seamless guidance system between secondary and post-secondary institutions in a professional manner.
• Provide resources for students enrolled in career academies and high schools and their parents/guardians to make post-secondary decisions related to career pathways.
• Evaluate career academy and high school applicants' files to ensure that specific admission criteria have been met and process for college acceptance.
• Verify that each student is in the appropriate program of study based on schedule of classes and that each student's classes are within the program of study for financial aid purposes.
• Coordinate with career academies and high schools the registration and withdrawal of students in the program in an organized and timely manner.
• Work with Academic Affairs in scheduling career academy and high school classes and providing information to instructors.
• Track data for career academy and high school students and graduates for completion/graduation from the technical college.
• Coordinate with financial aid staff regarding GAfutures, HOPE Career Grant, and HOPE Grant applications in a professional and timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree *and* Two (2) years of work experience in a secondary or post-secondary education environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Three (3) years of experience working with Dual Enrollment.
• Three (3) years of experience working with recruitment and Banner.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, especially Word and Excel.
• Strong customer service skills.
