Job description: Reports to: Construction Supervisor Desired Experience/Skills: Ability to do physical labor and tasks A valid driver’s license Clean MVR preferred but not required Ability to work effectively as a member of a team Ability to follow guidance and instructions Ability to work extended hours and some weekends Ability to work in extreme weather conditions Prior experience operating heavy equipment such as bulldozers and excavators GPS experience required Strong hand-eye coordination Sound understanding of safety guidelines Purpose: To prepare and manipulate heavy equipment to ensure the appropriate movement of materials. Operators must conduct their duties in a safe, diligent manner at all times. Operators monitor workflows and suggest alternatives to enhance productivity, as needed. Responsibilities Maneuvers motorized heavy equipment to ensure the accurate removal and placement of materials. Observe stipulated safety codes at all times Report injuries and equipment damage to management Inspect trucks, excavators, bulldozers and other heavy equipment for proper performance Operate bulldozers, excavators, articulated dump trucks, scrapers, and other equipment Set up and maintain erosion control Set up and maintain traffic control Check and maintain grade stakes Provide general maintenance of equipment and tools We are a Drug Free Workplace & an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
