Job Description
Project Leadership: Oversee and manage end-to-end energy efficiency and sustainability projects, including retro-commissioning, energy audits, and system optimization for commercial and industrial clients.
Energy Conservation Measures (ECM) Development: Identify, design, and implement ECMs, focusing on cost-effective solutions to reduce energy consumption, enhance system performance, and improve building sustainability.
Team Management: Lead, mentor, and coordinate a team of engineers and technicians, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring project milestones are met on time and within budget.
Client Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing relationships, providing updates, addressing concerns, and tailoring solutions to meet client sustainability goals.
Technical Audits and Analysis: Conduct detailed energy audits (ASHRAE Levels 1, 2, and 3), analyze energy data, and develop comprehensive reports with actionable insights and recommendations for energy improvements.
M&V (Measurement and Verification): Implement and oversee M&V processes to confirm ECM effectiveness, ensure project outcomes meet expected performance, and document savings.
Compliance and Certification: Ensure all projects comply with relevant standards and certifications, including ASHRAE, LEED, and local energy codes.
Sustainability Strategy Development: Collaborate with clients to develop sustainability strategies, carbon reduction, DC/MD BEPS assessments.
Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed project documentation, including technical reports, energy savings calculations, and progress updates, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Financial Management: Assist in budgeting and financial tracking for projects, ensuring cost control and maximizing client ROI on sustainability investments.
Position requires Masters or foreign equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Systems Engineering, or Sustainability Engineering and a minimum of one year of energy-related engineering experience in the energy industry to include energy efficiency projects and green buildings in accordance with ASHRAE/LEED guidelines.
