Preferred Qualifications Position Summary
This position is responsible for the enforcement of parking regulations and operational policies in campus lots and structures. The Lead Compliance Monitor plays a pivotal role in supporting the Compliance Department by guiding and mentoring team members, ensuring operational continuity, and promoting a collaborative work environment. While not a management position, this role requires leadership through experience, knowledge, and a commitment to upholding compliance standards across campus operations.
Note: Educational and training requirements may be assigned to be completed within 6 months of the hire date.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And/or Competencies
• Strong customer service, cash handling, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of University campus and surrounding areas.
• Ability to proficiently operate a computerized LPR systems, mobile tablet and other parking compliance systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Ability to establish effective working relationships with internal staff and external customers.
• Ability to work closely with the public and react calmly under stressful situations.

Duties/Responsibilities
• Provide guidance and training to compliance staff to ensure consistent understanding of policies and procedures.
• Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment through mentoring and peer leadership
• Issue Citations for parking violations.
• Ensure correct procedures are being followed for Towing/Booting for parking violations.
• Operate a computerized LPR system and/or mobile tablet to administer and calculate parking citations.
• Cash handling for special events.
• Patrol on foot or in vehicle all University parking lots and structures.
• Order towing service to remove vehicles in supervisor’s absence.
Percentage of time 40 Duties/Responsibilities
• Fill in for staff during absences, including meal breaks and scheduled time off.
• Monitor and respond to lot and deck full calls to ensure timely and effective communication and action.
• Serve as acting supervisor during the supervisor’s absence due to training or scheduled leave.
Percentage of time 20 Duties/Responsibilities
• Assist with the development and coordination of student employee schedules.
• Support the placement of student staff across campus for compliance monitoring duties.

• Act as a liaison between team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
• Communicate updates, procedural changes, and team needs effectively.
Percentage of time 10 Duties/Responsibilities
• Directing traffic in and around parking structures to ensure safe and orderly ingress and egress.
• Perform periodic assistance in cleaning surface lots and associated vehicles and equipment particularly during slow periods.
• Provide reserved accommodation for special events, special guests or scheduled football games or other athletic events. Provide security by patrolling all levels of the facility or all areas of the parking lot for unauthorized parkers, litter patrol, suspicious persons, or illegal activities.
