Description
The Mental Health Professional Supervisor (LMHPS) provides therapeutic services to individuals of varying ages in a variety of clinical or educational settings. The LMHPS functions autonomously and works well within multidisciplinary teams. Provides comprehensive care including assessment, consultation, treatment planning, counseling, education, referral and discharge planning. The LMHPS is a leader within the therapeutic milieu or program setting and provides clinical and administrative supervision to counseling staff. The LMHPS drives program development and implements evidence-based practices. Identifies knowledge gaps and arranges formal and informal training and education.

Responsibilities
chart audits, billing/monitoring charges, group/individual supervision, intern supervision, scheduling, data entry, facilitate meetings, hiring/personnel issues, performance management
Conducts clinical assessments and consultations
Assigns diagnosis as appropriate to clinical setting
Provides billable services as appropriate
Develops treatment plans
Collaborates with multidisciplinary team to achieve patient/client/resident disposition
Conducts individuals’ group and family therapy interventions
Provides clinical supervision to licensed and unlicensed staff and student interns
Performs risk assessments
Provides patient education
Functions autonomously within their respective scope of practice
Effectively utilized and documents in the electronic medical record
Handles conflict resolution in a appropriate, timely, and consistent manner
Follows up on risk management concerns within specified time frames
Creates and maintains an environment that protects patients from harm
Participates in service recovery and uses appropriate resources during complex situations
Identifies personal contributions to unit bases cascading roles
Contributes to program development and implementation of evidence-based practices
Manages employee schedules
In collaboration with Director facilitates hiring, personnel concerns and performance management
When indicated will follow healthcare professional monitoring program procedure
Facilitates billing and monitors charges
Audits charts and treatment plans
Other Functions:
Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This role supervises a team of 10 or less.
Qualifications
Required Education: Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or psychology 
Required Experience: Two years working as a Mental Health Professional
Required Certifications and Licensures: Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Clinical Psychologist. Current AHA BLS within 30 days of hire.  Certified in CPI (Crisis Prevention Management) Training within 3 months of hire
Preferred Experience: Five years working as a Mental Health Professional
