DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this seasonal position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all welding activities adhere to established quality and safety standards while collaborating with your team to achieve successful project outcomes. Your tasks will encompass a range of welding operations, including welding, brazing, and cutting both ferrous and non-ferrous metals. You will operate independently, executing skilled trades responsibilities such as repairing components, performing structural welding on bridge elements, and addressing issues with equipment frames, hitches, and plows. Additionally, you will adeptly fabricate repair parts and body components for various applications. Success in this role requires a strong foundation of knowledge and experience in welding processes and techniques.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Travel, overtime and shift work required. Work hours subject to change based on seasonal requirements and operational needs.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Required Experience, Training & Eligibility
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
• Three years of experience in the operation and use of welding equipment, materials, and related shop equipment to repair, maintain, or fabricate parts, equipment, or structures; or
• Completion of a three-year, high school Vo-Tech training program in welding and eighteen months of experience in the operation and use of welding equipment, materials, and related shop equipment to repair, maintain, or fabricate parts, equipment, or structures; or
• Completion of an approved welder apprentice program; or
• A welding certificate D1.1 from the American Welding Society; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Special Requirement:
• This position requires possession of an active Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
