Travel Nursing Job Details
• Location: Lynchburg, VA 24501 (Virginia nursing jobs)
• Facility Setting: Cardiac Pavilion – Intermediate Cardiac Care, Pre/Post Procedures, Cardiac Observation
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start dates: 9/8/2025 and 9/22/2025)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week (36 hours/week), with potential for a 4th shift every other week
• Schedule: No weekends or holidays (3 required Fridays during assignment)
• Orientation: Every other Monday
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1780 - $1910
Registered Nurse Qualifications
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Virginia or compact state)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent cardiac nursing experience, including previous travel RN assignments
• Proficient in cardiac monitoring, Heparin and Amiodarone administration, IV starts, EKGs, and cardiac observation
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Ability to float to Intermediate Medical Unit (IMU) or general nursing units as needed
Registered Nurse Responsibilities
• Deliver intermediate cardiac care for patients pre- and post-procedure, including overnight and observation cases
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and administer cardiac medications (Heparin, Amiodarone, etc.)
• Initiate IVs, perform EKGs, and manage procedural patients
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:2-4 for optimal clinical support
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure excellent patient outcomes
• Float to IMU or general units as required for comprehensive clinical support
