ICU Registered Nurse Job Details
• Location: Lynchburg, VA (24501) – Virginia healthcare jobs
• Unit: Neuro Intensive Care Unit (ICU) – LAC Resource Team
• Position Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (91 days)
• Start Dates: 9/8/2025 or 9/22/2025
• Orientation: Every other Monday
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1780–$1910
Registered Nurse Qualifications
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or Compact State
• 2-3 years of recent ICU nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (all current and valid)
• Experience in a teaching hospital setting preferred
• Charge nurse experience and Cerner EMR familiarity preferred
• All requested time off must be submitted with application
ICU Nurse Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients in the Neuro ICU
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including students and new hires, in a teaching hospital environment
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability—travel nurses float first as needed
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and utilize Cerner EMR (preferred)
• Support a culture of learning and mentorship for students and new staff
• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols
