**Job Title: IMU Registered Nurse (RN) - 12-Hour Day Shifts**
**Job Description:**
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled IMU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. This position offers an opportunity to work within a diverse patient population, including medical-surgical, telemetry, cardiac IMCU, neuro patients, and those who have experienced a stroke (CVA). The role requires a thorough understanding of patient acuity levels and the ability to provide excellent nursing care in a fast-paced environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with a mix of diagnoses, including medical-surgical, telemetry, and neuro cases.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor patient responses.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document all patient interactions and care activities accurately in the electronic health record (Cerner preferred).
- Educate patients and their families on health management and treatment plans.
- Participate in orientation and training of new hires and students, fostering a supportive learning environment.
**Qualifications:**
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant specialty, preferably in an IMU or critical care setting.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
- Travel nursing experience is preferred; charge nurse experience is a plus.
- Active Virginia or Compact State RN License is required at the time of submission.
- Candidates must be available for 2 to 3 weekends a month based on unit needs.
- Must submit all requests for time off (RTO) at the time of application.
**Additional Information:**
- Assignments are for 12-hour day shifts ending on Saturday, with orientations every other Monday.
- Float requirement is not applicable for this position.
- Client reserves the right to cancel assignments up to 36 hours in advance based on patient census.
