**Job Description: IMU Registered Nurse (RN) - 12-Hour Night Shifts**
We are seeking an experienced IMU Registered Nurse (RN) for exciting 12-hour night shift opportunities. This temporary position is limited to a 16-week assignment and requires the ability to work a minimum of 2 of 3 winter holidays. Local applicants are welcome, although please note that those within 60 miles will not be accepted.
**Position Overview:**
- **Shift:** 12-Hour Night Shift
- **Assignment Length:** 16 weeks (specific start dates available)
- **Patient Population:** A mix of medical-surgical, telemetry, cardiac IMCU acuity level patients, neuro patients, and CVA patients.
- **Orientation:** Held every other Monday; all nurses must attend orientation before starting.
- **Weekend Requirements:** The unit aims to follow a schedule of 2 out of 3 weekends per month, although this may vary based on unit needs.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population.
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams, including students and new hires.
- Participate in the learning culture of the organization by supporting the development of less experienced personnel.
**Qualifications:**
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant specialty.
- BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
- Previous travel nursing experience is mandatory, with charge experience preferred.
- Familiarity with Cerner is advantageous.
- An active Virginia or Compact RN license is required upon submission.
- All requests for time off (RTO) must be included at the time of application.
**Additional Information:**
- Nurses may be required to float to other units as needed.
- Cancellations can occur up to 36 hours prior to assignments based on patient census needs.
- The position accommodates only one assignment, with no renewals allowed.
