### Job Description: IMU Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift
**Position Overview:**
We are seeking an experienced IMU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team for a 12-hour night shift position. This role is suited for professionals looking to work with a diverse patient population, including those with medical-surgical conditions, tele-health issues, cardiac IMCU acuity, neuro patients, and CVA patients.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in an Intermediate Medical Unit (IMU).
- Monitor and manage patient conditions, ensuring timely interventions.
- Collaborate with medical staff to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about health management and recovery strategies.
- Participate in clinical decision-making and maintain a supportive environment for students and new hires.
**Position Details:**
- **Shift Type:** 12-Hour Night Shift
- **Contract Duration:** 16 Weeks
- **Start Dates:** 10/20 & 11/3 ONLY
- **Holiday Requirement:** Must be available to work 2 of the 3 winter holidays.
- **Orientation:** Every other Monday.
- **Work Schedule:** 12-hour shifts ending on Saturday; attempts will be made to follow a 2/3 weekends per month schedule but may vary based on unit needs.
**Qualifications:**
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant specialty.
- Valid BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Experience in a travel nursing role is required; charge experience preferred.
- Familiarity with Cerner is preferred.
- Valid VA or Compact Nursing License required upon submission.
- All requests for time off (RTO) must be included with application.
**Additional Information:**
- No floating is required.
- Candidates within 60 miles of the facility are not accepted.
- Limited RTO will be considered; client can cancel assignments up to 36 hours in advance based on census needs.
- The unit is a teaching facility, and all team members are expected to contribute to a supportive learning environment.
