Description
The Oncology Community Operations Manager coordinates, organizes and heads efforts to represent Pearson Cancer Center (PCC) favorably in the community and plans programs that promote good will and fosters relationships with community leaders.

Responsibilities
Represent PCC in civic, faith-based, and area chamber organizations.
Oversee support groups for community health, including AA, Diabetes Support Group, etc.
Plan and orchestrate physician onboarding: events, materials, lab coats, Rx pads, business cards.
Act as a liaison for PCC Practice Physicians and PCC Physicians, including, but not limited to providing area tours, coordinating "meet and greet" functions, and providing communications about physician services and activities.
Manage the volunteer program for all locations in the region, including the recruitment, orientation, annual competency validation and overall performance oversight of all volunteers.
Manage the PCC gift shop and the Gift Shop employee(s).
Serve as the Public Information Officer for PCC.
Organize all hospital internal events, such as Hospital Week, March of Dimes Campaign, United Way Campaign, Diversity Food Fair, "White House" events, etc.
Organize promotional community centered events: health fairs, blood drives, retirement events, physician recruitment events, etc.
Serve as liaison for the PCC Auxiliary, including scholarships for nurses and the Guild Fund.
Coordinate healthcare recognition weeks with regional leaders.
Manage the activities and performance of Community Engagement & Relations Assistant(s).
Work with the Centra Marketing department on communications and projects.
Assists the marketing department as needed.
May perform other duties as assigned or requested and job specification can be modified or updated at any time.
