**Job Title: Surgical Technologist - Certified**
**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Technologist Certified for an 8-week assignment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Orthopedics, particularly with Total Joint experience. This position requires a commitment to working 12-hour day shifts, from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, Monday to Friday. Call shifts will be required, including 1-2 nights per week and 3-24 hour weekend shifts every 6 weeks. A 30-minute call response time is essential for this role.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assist in surgical procedures by preparing operating rooms, instruments, and supplies.
- Maintain a sterile environment throughout the surgical process.
- Provide support during orthopedic surgeries, ensuring the needs of the surgical team are met.
- Follow strict safety protocols and participate in post-operative care.
**Requirements:**
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the relevant specialty.
- Active Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification.
- Virginia State license (VA) required; application for VA license must be included if not currently licensed.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- All requests for time off (RTO) must be included in the submission packet.
- Must be willing to travel and meet the requirement for on-call duties.
**Orientation:**
Orientations are held every other Monday. Candidates are expected to start on 9/8 or 9/22.
**Contract Details:**
- 12-hour shifts, primarily days.
- Guaranteed hours for the duration of the contract (56 weeks).
