**Job Title: IMU RN (Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, Cardiac IMCU)**

**Position Overview:**
We are seeking an experienced IMU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. This position involves providing high-quality patient care in a mixed patient population that includes medical-surgical, telemetry, cardiac IMCU, neuro, and CVA patients. Ideal candidates will thrive in a fast-paced environment and support the delivery of compassionate care.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Deliver nursing care to a diverse patient population with varying acuity levels.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, vital signs, and reactions to treatments.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
**Requirements:**
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience in a similar setting.
- Active BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Travel nursing experience is essential.
- Charge nurse experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR is a plus.
- Current Virginia or Compact nursing license at the time of submission.
- All requests for time off (RTO) must be included in the submission packet.
**Additional Information:**
- This position is for one assignment only, with no renewals.
- Night assignments will conclude on Saturdays.
- The orientation process occurs bi-weekly on Mondays.
- The unit typically requires nurses to work 2 out of 3 weekends per month, depending on operational needs.
- Candidates must be prepared for possible cancellations up to 36 hours prior to an assignment due to changes in census levels.
As a teaching hospital, you will frequently collaborate with students and new hires, contributing to a culture of support within the team.
