**Job Title:** Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) - 12-Hour Nights
**Job Description:**
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a 12-hour night shift position, working from 7 PM to 7 AM, including every other weekend. This is an exciting opportunity to provide critical care in a fast-paced environment, supporting patients with urgent medical needs.
**Responsibilities:**
- Deliver exceptional nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department (ED), with a focus on high-quality treatment and patient safety.
- Conduct thorough assessments, develop nursing care plans, and implement interventions to address patients' health issues.
- Collaborate effectively with medical staff, other nurses, and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor and manage patient condition, document care, and update care plans as needed.
- Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain certification and enhance skills.
**Requirements:**
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Emergency Department of similar size and trauma level (1 or 2).
- Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required.
- Trauma Certification (ATCN/TNCC/ATLC) is required.
- Experience with Cerner electronic health record system is highly preferred.
- Active Virginia or Compact Nursing License at the time of submission.
- Must provide all Requests for Time Off (RTO) at the time of submission.
- Travel experience is required.
- Orientation occurs biweekly on Mondays, with assignments starting on 9/8 and 9/22.
**Important Notes:**
- This position does not accept local candidates within 60 miles of the facility.
- Assignments are subject to client cancellation with a 36-hour notice based on patient census.
- Floating to other units is not required for this position.
