**Job Description: IMU Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift**
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced IMU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a 12-hour night shift position. This role involves working with a diverse patient population, including those with a range of medical-surgical conditions, telehealth needs, cardiac IMCU acuity, neurological concerns, and CVA patients. The RN will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide direct patient care to a mix of medical-surgical, telemetry, and cardiac IMCU patients.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop care plans and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding promptly to changes in status.
- Administer medications and treatments as per hospital policy and physician orders.
- Educate patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and health maintenance.
- Participate in unit activities, supporting new hires and students by fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.
**Requirements:**
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant nursing specialty.
- Active BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
- Previous travel nursing experience is mandatory.
- Charge nurse experience is preferred but not essential.
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records is advantageous.
- Must possess an active Virginia or Compact license at the time of submission.
- All requests for time off (RTO) must be included at the time of submission.
**Schedule:**
- 12-hour night shifts (7 PM – 7 AM).
- Flexible to work 2/3 weekends a month, subject to unit needs.
- Orientation sessions are held bi-weekly on Mondays.
- Assignments end on Saturdays.
**Additional Information:**
- This position allows for a one-time assignment with no renewal options.
- Expect possible assignments to be canceled up to 36 hours in advance due to patient census.
