LOGISTICS COORDINATOR
Job Purpose
The Logistics Coordinator, based in and working from the office in Salina, KS, is responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring both domestic and international transportation activities to ensure the timely, cost-effective, and compliant movement of goods. This role serves as a critical link between sales, operations, warehouse, and transportation providers, overseeing freight quotations, booking shipments, generating and managing shipping documents, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and customer requirements. The Logistics Coordinator also supports accurate freight billing, claims resolution, and data reporting to drive efficiency and transparency across the supply chain.

• Promotes and demonstrates without fail all good manufacturing practices, applicable HACCP principles, laws, and statutory regulations/guidelines in alignment with ISO 17025, FSSC 22000, monitoring CCPs, and sanitation recordkeeping to promote and ensure a safety culture.
• Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization’s objectives.
Qualifications And Requirements

Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, International Trade, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered.
Technical Skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, basic analysis).
• Experience with ERP systems (Deacom preferred, but SAP, Oracle, or similar accepted).
• Knowledge of shipping document preparation (Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, etc.).
• Familiarity with INCOTERMS and international logistics terminology.
• Understanding of freight billing, invoice review, and discrepancy resolution.
Soft Skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with high attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to issue resolution.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
• Comfortable working under pressure with shifting priorities and time-sensitive requests.
Knowledge And Experience
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain coordination, or international/domestic transportation.
• Experience working with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers.
• Prior experience with shipping documentation and trade compliance processes is required.
• Knowledge of U.S. export compliance regulations and documentation requirements.
• Familiarity with ocean, air, and ground transportation booking processes.
• Ability to retain and organize critical documents securely (SharePoint or equivalent experience preferred).
Physical Demands and Work Environment
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to type or handle paperwork, and communicate effectively by phone, email, or in person.
• Occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, and reach with hands and arms.
• May need to lift and move boxes or files weighing up to 25 pounds.
• May require occasional visits to warehouse or shipping areas, which may involve exposure to loud noise, dust, or varying temperatures.
• Visual acuity is required for reading documents, computer screens, and reviewing detailed shipping documentation.
• This position operates primarily in a professional office environment with frequent use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, and scanners.
• Occasional work in a warehouse or logistics environment may be required (with appropriate safety protocols).
• The role may involve occasional extended hours or weekend work to meet critical shipment deadlines or resolve logistics issues.
• Employee may interact regularly with off-site teams and international partners across different time zones.
