Manufacturing Operations Supervisor (Clean Room)
Insight Global is looking for to hire a Manufacturing Operations Supervisor for an ophthalmic medical device manufacturing company in Sarasota, FL (South Bradenton/North Sarasota, FL area with CLEAN ROOM manufacturing operations experience. This a 6 month contract-to-hire, meaning you will be converted to FTE (which includes PTO, Holiday Pay, and additional competitive perks, etc.) after 6 months, but benefits offered immediately (no waiting period)!
The Manufacturing Operations Supervisor will oversee 75% of our operations lifecycle, including staging, filling, demolding, and other processes. This role will manage a team of 20 employees across four departments, ensuring efficient and compliant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate daily operations across staging, filling, demolding, and other processes.
Manage and lead a team of 20 employees, providing guidance and support.
Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality standards.
Oversee safety documentation and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
Conduct regular quality checks and audits to maintain high standards.
Collaborate with other departments to optimize workflow and productivity.
Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Minimum Requirements:
• Ability to work fully onsite in the South Bradenton/North Sarasota, FL area
• Minimum 3 years experience in a leadership (over manufacturing /operations) role within GMP environment
• Experience working in a clean room environment or in a manufacturing facility that has a clean room environment, and having strong understanding of clean room operational procedures
• Backing in from medical device, pharma, etc. with GMP
• Familiar with GMP SOPs and documentation
• Ability to lead a large operations team across 4 divisions
• Experience with quality checks and audits in a manufacturing environment
