Med/Surg RN Job Details – Lynchburg, VA
• Location: Lynchburg, VA 24503 (Virginia nursing jobs)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1680–$1800 per week
• Healthcare Setting: 10-bed Acute Rehab Unit – Neuro and Rehab focus
• Patient Population: Neuro Rehab, CVA, Spine, Orthopedic
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (91 days)
• Start Dates: 9/8/2025 or 9/22/2025
• Shift: 12-hour nights (every other weekend required; assignments end on Saturday)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Orientation: Every other Monday
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
Registered Nurse Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg or acute rehab RN experience
• Active Virginia or Compact Registered Nurse License (required at time of submission)
• BLS certification (required)
• Prior travel nursing experience (required)
• Cerner EMR experience (highly preferred)
• CRRN (Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse) certification (highly preferred)
• All requested time off must be submitted with application
• Local candidates within 60 miles are not eligible
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
• Provide exceptional nursing care to patients in a 10-bed acute rehab unit
• Manage care for neuro rehab, CVA, spine, and orthopedic patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including students and new hires
• Promote a supportive, educational, and patient-centered environment
• Accurately document patient care using Cerner EMR
• Work 12-hour night shifts, including every other weekend as required
