Position Summary
Support, assist and inspect all housekeepers’ activities during the clean process of the hotel rooms, public and common areas. Coordinate with Housekeeping Supervisor linen inventories, room supply’s and report building deficiencies and place rooms Out Of Order to correct deficiencies by the right department.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY and DUTIES
• Inspect daily 20% to 30% of rooms to improve quality and guest satisfaction according with department goals.
• Lead quarterly special projects as deep clean, mattress rotation process per brand standards.
• Respond quickly and efficiently to any guest request utilizing formula 4:59
• Dominate guest room quadrant (entrance, closet, bath and guest room areas) to ensure proper and perfect presentation of room supply’s and amenities.
• Be prepared to assist the Manager on Duty in any hotel emergency.
• Perform additional duties as assigned the Housekeeping Manager, Supervisor or General Manager.
Qualifications
• Good attention to detail
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Good communication skills
Education: High School graduate or equivalent. Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
Required Knowledge:
• Basic computer skills
• Hotel brand knowledge prefer
• Previous housekeeping experience
Work Environment: The duties for this position are carried out indoors. Employee will be exposed to contact with chemical mixtures filling chemical containers and while cleaning rooms.
Physical Activities: To perform essential functions of this position must be available to stand walk for long periods of time with constant bending, stooping and reaching required. An individual should also be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and may frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 30 lbs. Manual dexterity is necessary for the manipulation of cleaning tolls, linens, guest amenities, paperwork, etc. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
