Provider Recruitment and Onboarding Coordinator- FT/Days
Job Description
The Provider Recruitment and Onboarding Coordinator coordinates the overall hiring, credentialing and on-boarding process for new providers for Centra Medical Group (CMG). This position is the primary point of contact for all new hires, coordinating a comprehensive communication and onboarding process from candidate acceptance and/or 6 months prior to start date through the first year of employment. This position is a bridge between the new provider and all stakeholders within Centra Medical Group. This position would also assist the recruitment team with recruitment coordination and provide overall administrative support for the team.
Responsibilities
• Assists recruiters and service line leaders to develop schedules, itineraries, and travel arrangements for provider candidates.
• Provider overall administrative support for recruitment team.
• Leads, coordinates, and monitors hiring, credentialing, and on-boarding of new providers for Centra Medical Group
• Works with Director of Provider Recruitment and additional system stakeholders to improve the overall onboarding process for employed providers to decrease provider turnover rates as part of the overall Centra system strategy.
• Regularly contacts newly onboarding providers to support start date readiness and coordinate all necessary orientation activities.
• Prepares and maintains hiring, credentialing, and on-boarding records for Centra Medical Group providers, actively participating in onboarding meetings, documenting issues and concerns, and appropriately communicating issues and concern
• Interprets and explains to newly hired candidates human resources policies, compliance/regulatory, accrediting, and credentialing policies, procedures, laws, standards, and/or regulations.
• Liaisons and consults with new hires, hiring managers and organization leaders, recruiters, Medical Staff Office, Risk Management, Payer Credentialing, and Provider Services/Contracting to ensure smooth and complete hiring, credentialing, and on-boarding. Provides updates to all stakeholders throughout the process.
• Partners with medical staff office to identify issues that require additional investigation and evaluation, validates discrepancies, ensures appropriate follow up, and provide resolutions.
• Coordinates logistics and prepares reports for weekly, bi-weekly, and other meetings with service lines, Centra Medical Group, and leadership.
• Supports recruitment team by keeping track of recruitment tracker and onboarding tracker data.
• Oversee and manages logistics for New Provider Orientation as well as facilitate/deliver training components of orientation.
• Update new hire materials, conference flyers, and conference items.
• Prepare paperwork and schedules for smooth new-hire onboarding process, coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional first day experience.
• Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Experience Requirements
• Power BI knowledge
• Prior healthcare experience
• Knowledge of provider licensing and credentialing process
