Job Summary :
The evisceration production worker will be responsible for the inspecting, hanging and processing of birds.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following; other duties may be assigned
• Work at the pace of the production line.
• Hangs chicken by two legs assuring all birds are hung up.
• Responsible of making sure machinery has properly opened the birds; if not scissors the use of scissors is required to perform the task.
• Pinning feathers
• Inspecting inside of the birds for contamination.
• Cutting of broken deficiencies marked by trimmers using a knife.
• Reprocessing birds that can be salvaged using both knifes and scissors.
• Check finished product for contamination prior to QA performing tests.
• Using a lung gun to suction out marked birds.
Education and Experience (Due to the high volume of applicants, only those who meet the minimum qualifications will be selected for interviews):
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS :
Ability to read and interpret documents in English or Spanish, such as safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to complete checklists.
