This is a full-time position. Hours of work can vary, but they are usually Monday through Friday, approximately between 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., 40+ hours a week.
The Research and Development Technician position is responsible for all projects related to new product development, R&D, and Marketing Research related to the company's objectives in the marketplace.
Essential Functions
• Performing ongoing product testing with concern to quality, flavor, and continuous product improvement.
• Aid in new product development from initial startup through to product marketing and placement at the retail level.
• Addressing customer inquiries and auditing documents required by other companies
• Following up on and ensuring corrective actions on customer complaints were effective to reduce the chance of repeat complaints
• Performing market research and market ranking studies for certain products.
• Holding blind taste testing to report market rankings and placement
• Assist in product launch and product quality reports during initial runs of new products within the quality assurance system.
• Preparing the organization for yearly ISO 22000 audit at both Stevens and Womelsdorf facilities with regard to the quality assurance
Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
