Mechanical Engineer
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to provide HVAC and Plumbing design for industrial, commercial, municipal, educational, and healthcare facilities. Experience or working knowledge of AutoCAD or Revit is expected. Good communication (verbal and written) and math skills a must. Ability to obtain a Security Clearance (US Citizenship) is required.
Project design will include HVAC and Plumbing for new facilities and renovations of medical office buildings, wastewater treatment plants, churches, K-12 and college/university facilities, athletic facilities, industrial plants, warehouses, large residential, and municipal/governmental facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
· Design HVAC and plumbing systems for a variety of building types and clients.
· Prepare construction documents including drawings, specifications, and equipment schedules.
· Perform load calculations, duct sizing, pipe sizing, and equipment selection.
· Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and clients.
· Review and ensure compliance with local, state, and national codes and standards.
· Participate in site visits and inspections, providing field support as needed.
· Assist in the development of cost estimates and project schedules.
· Stay current with emerging HVAC/plumbing technologies and sustainability practices.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with design software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of codes, safety regulations, and engineering standards.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or an EIT working toward PE certification.
• Ability to obtain a Security Clearance (US Citizenship) is required.
