Assistant Personal Training Director
The Assistant Personal Training Director (APTD) is a leadership role dedicated to driving the success of our Personal Training department. This individual will play a key role in member engagement, staff development, and overall program performance.
As an APTD, you will be at the forefront of building strong teams, promoting a culture of health, and ensuring each member has the tools and guidance needed to succeed in their fitness journey. You’ll work alongside club leaders to lead, coach, and grow a team of Personal Trainers while also focusing on client acquisition and retention.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Marketing
* Drive new client acquisition and ensure high retention rates through outstanding service.
* Conduct engaging fitness assessments and trainer demo sessions for prospective clients.
* Partner with club leadership to execute effective marketing and outreach strategies.
* Consistently meet or exceed monthly financial performance goals.
Team Leadership
* Recruit, train, and develop a team of certified, high-performing Personal Trainers.
* Lead by example—setting the tone for professionalism, enthusiasm, and success.
* Foster a motivating and collaborative work environment that energizes the team.
* Work closely with Membership teams to align messaging and support member needs.
Operations & Service
* Oversee training floor operations, scheduling, and daily workflows.
* Handle member escalations professionally, ensuring a positive outcome.
* Ensure the training department operates smoothly, cleanly, and efficiently.
* Enforce company standards for service, cleanliness, and follow-up.

Qualifications
* 2+ years of experience in sales management or customer service (preferred)
* Experience with personal training or fitness program management (a plus)
* High school diploma or equivalent (required)
