Director of Engineering
An industry leader in precision machinery used across the beverage, food, beauty, and aerosol markets is seeking a Director of Global Engineering to lead worldwide engineering efforts. This role is responsible for overseeing all engineering activities and projects, ensuring alignment with company goals, product development standards, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
• Direct global engineering functions to ensure successful design and release of engineering documentation, including drawings and BOMs, within target cycle times and cost constraints.
• Drive continuous improvement across engineering processes while ensuring adherence to Lean Six Sigma and CE standards.
• Oversee development of new standard products, enhancements to existing product lines, and cost-effective manufacturability.
• Collaborate with operations, sales, and supply chain teams to meet business and customer objectives.
• Ensure compliance with global safety and design standards, including CE.
• Promote a high-performance culture by mentoring and developing engineering leaders across multiple global sites.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in technical machinery engineering, with at least 5 years in a high-level engineering leadership role.
• Strong background in high-speed rotating machinery.
• Lean Six Sigma training required; Black Belt certification preferred.
• Proficient in CAD tools such as Inventor or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of gear design, power transmission, and PLC-based electrical systems.
• Knowledge of CE (European safety standards) is essential.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively across functions and geographies.
• Global engineering leadership experience strongly preferred.
