We are currently looking for an ASSEMBLER for a medical company who is looking for a new team member for their location in Sarasota. This is a temp to perm, Monday- Thursday, 6am - 4:30 pm - 10 hours shifts - $16/HR- PAID LUNCH - MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH SMALLER PARTS. Summary Description: Working within a team environment, the Assembler 1 performs a variety of tasks associated with the production and assembly of various product types. Key Responsibilities: • Understands and follows Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), standard operating procedures (SOP), Work Instructions (WI) and Production Orders (POP) • Assembles product, packages products in pouches, cartons and shipper boxes. • Performs assembly and packaging operations with a quality focus and meets production requirements • Performs general clean up tasks including workstation and equipment cleaning, sweeping/mopping of work areas, removal of trash and basic housekeeping • Works in a professional manner and contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed • Maintains a safe working environment by complying with procedures and regulations • Able to work different shifts, split shifts, weekends, and overtime when necessary • Performs other related duties as assigned by management Qualifications: • High School Diploma, GED or commensurate work experience required • Ability to work within a team environment • 1-2 years related work experience in assembly or packaging in a high volume, high product mix industry; regulated industry, preferred • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide required • Ability to use hand cart • Ability to speak, read, write and understand English language Competencies: • Quality--Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; Applies feedback to improve performance; Monitors own work to ensure quality. • Quantity--Meets productivity standards; Completes work in timely manner; Strives to increase productivity; Works quickly. • Safety and Security--Observes safety and security procedures; Determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly. • Attendance/Punctuality--Is consistently at work and on time; Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent; Arrives at meetings and appointments on time. • Dependability--Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Takes responsibility for own actions; Keeps commitments; Commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals; Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan. • Ethics--Treats people with respect; Keeps commitments; Inspires the trust of others; Works with integrity and ethically; Upholds organizational values.
