Autocad Operator
The CAD System Operator's primary responsibility is to work with the sales team and production team to produce accurate and precise drawings that will serve as blueprints for manufacturing Superior Walls products. These drawings will ensure that the designs are feasible, functional, and meet all necessary standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
· Work with the sales team to create clear, complete, and accurate CAD drawings using the Super Walls system for jobs. Update as needed based on customer feedback.
· Based on approved drawings, create load sheets, production drawings, and install drawings for the job. Coordinate with the production team and the installation team during this process.
· Assist the sales team with take-offs for quoting.
· Maintaining organized and up-to-date electronic files, databases, and documentation related to design projects.
· Perform quality checks on completed designs to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications.
· Communicate with the Plant Manager to identify job layout patterns and panel locations.
· Stay up to date with the latest industry standards. Understand the industry and KOISW build standards and specifications.
· Be able to communicate with other team members via phone, email, and in person, and be able to exchange accurate information about jobs.
· Ensure all programs stay updated and troubleshoot any design issues.
Other tasks, as instructed by management. These tasks may be unrelated to the CAD System Operator’s responsibilities listed here, but KOI Superior Walls is a small business where employees must wear multiple hats. KOI Superior Walls’ ultimate success is the responsibility of all employees, and we must be open to tasks to help accomplish this.
Qualifications
· Proficient in AutoCAD or similar software.
· Experience with residential construction drawings, Truss Design, and/or home design.
· Attention to detail and accuracy.
· Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
· Good verbal and written communication skills working with all KOI team members across all functions.
· Flexibility with working hours.
· Ability to handle emergencies calmly and efficiently.
