Deputy Sheriff
The Lynchburg Sheriff’s Office is currently accepting applications for a full-time Deputy Sheriff position . The starting salary for this position is based on experience and certifications. Applicants must be a U. S. citizen, have a High School Diploma or G.E.D. and have a valid Virginia driver’s license. A current Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services Certification in Basic Jailer or Law Enforcement is preferred. Applicants are subject to a background investigation as well as ,a personal criminal history check.
