Cosmetology Instructor ( Learning Leader)
The Temple Annapolis, a Paul Mitchell Partner School, is seeking a Licensed Cosmetology Instructor (Learning Leader)/ who has a positive attitude, is motivated and energetic, has versatile skills, and former/current experience behind the chair in a salon setting. We are open Monday - Friday, and no weekends are required for this position. This is a great position, especially if you are looking to share your knowledge over the years with the future of the Beauty Industry.
Positions include teaching skills and/or theory in the Classroom or overseeing the Guest Services taking place while Future Professionals perform in public.
The Temple Annapolis has Schedules available if you are currently working in a Salon and wish to also remain part-time behind the chair while expanding your skill set to be an Instructor in our doors. In fact, we encourage this, and the additional training you will receive is an added benefit to grow your career behind the chair as well, we find many times!
Job Responsibilities
• Classroom positions include: Teaching classes on haircutting, color, texture, cosmetology, theory, and/or professional development using the Paul Mitchell systems and culture.
• Actively coaching and assisting students (future professionals) with clinic floor services, including technical assistance and coaching on salon success skills such as guest consultations, re-booking, and retailing.
• Modeling the Paul Mitchell culture and positive professional habits for our future professionals
• Participation in Technical Training and Quarterly On-Site Paid Training
Qualifications
• Applicants must possess a current Cosmetology or Barbering License in MD.
• Having a passion for educating, learning, and helping others is an absolute must.
• Must have former or current experience working behind the chair in a Licensed Salon
• Experience in using technology for learning
• Color, Cutting, Texture, and Sanitation skill set
• Ability to be comfortable speaking in front of classroom settings if hired in a Classroom Instructor Postion
