Location: Arlington, VA (On-Site, 5 days/week)
Compensation: $75K–$95K + Quarterly Bonus (up to 30%) + Equity

A rapidly growing private technology company (~$40M+ revenue) is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its accounting team. This firm develops AI-powered enterprise software used to solve complex challenges across sectors such as supply chain, production, and R&D—particularly within high-impact government environments. The company has been recognized on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 and maintains a strong reputation within its niche.
This is a net-new growth role offering strong visibility, upward mobility, and broad exposure across corporate accounting and financial operations. The Staff Accountant will report to the Accounting Manager and work closely with the CFO.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and GL transactions
• Work on system implementations and process improvements (currently using NetSuite)
• Assist with expense processing through platforms like Bill.com and Expensify
• Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline internal controls and operations
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 1–5 years of progressive accounting experience
• U.S. Citizenship required
• CPA (completed or in progress) preferred
• Public accounting background or experience in startup/growth environments a plus
• Strong attention to detail, adaptability, and initiative in fast-paced settings
